Yellow Fanworm

Notaulax occidentalis

The Yellow Fanworms are VERY shy. They are usually in areas of old, dead coral, in shaded areas under ledges, in recesses and their tubes are buried into the coral rock. They have a diameter of about an inch with yellow fans, often with dark purple bands. Can be found in water as shallow as 2-3 feet.
