Stinging Sea Anemone

Lebrunia danae

This anemone has two types of tentacles. During the day you'll see the short multi-forked tentacles which are the pseudo-tentacles or false tentacles. The second type, the true un-branched tentacles, (Shown in first three, rare daytime photos) usually only come out at night and are longer and tapered. Found in shallow waters of 3-8 feet.  ,
