Stocky Cerith GALLERY

Cerithium litteratum

There are several snail species that look very similar to the Stocky Cerith. These grow to just about an inch in length. Often times, when you see a group of these shells together, they are not the snails, but rather tiny hermit crabs that have taken up residence in empty snail shells.
