Stoplight Parrotfish

Sparisoma viride

The Stoplight Parrotfish is one of the most recognizable of the parrotfishes. Their unmistakable white spot phase with their bright red belly is hard to mistake for anything else. The Terminal Phase (a sexually mature male) coloring looks entirely different. (represented in the bottom photos) They  can grow to almost 2 feet in length.
