Threespot Damselfish

Stegastes planifrons

The easiest way to tell an adult Threespot Damselfish is by their gold "eyebrows" and blue lips. The black spot on the top of their tail area (just before the tailfin) is also a good way to tell them from other adult Damselfish. These Damselfish like clear water and can  be populous in some areas and absent in other. They are territorial and protect their turf, an area of reef or fire coral mound.
