Fairy Basslet
Gramma loretoLook for these neon bright fish in water that is at least ten feet deep (They will be swimming at a depth of least six feet) and where there are large overhangs that form either shallow or deep caves underneath. The Fairy Basslets swim both right-side up and upside-down just under the leading edge of the overhang. Usually where you see one you see several. Quite often if you see these Basslets you will also see Glassy Sweepers deeper inside the cave area. The Fairy Basslet always has a dark spot on the dorsal fin.
