he Reef Urchin is medium sized. The two inch diameter body is most often maroon in color. the ports that the spines come out of ar white, which makes it look like light is coming from within. The lighter colored spines are tan, violet or orange. Occasionally can be found in sheltered areas during the day. Inhabit reef environments at all depths.
