Branching Hydroids
Sertularella spp.There are no doubt more than one specie of branching hydroids. These pictures show several types found around the island, always in shallow waters not exceeding five feet. Some were occupying reef top environments, others in recesses and under overhangs. Size varies from 1/4 inch to three inches in length.
