Valonia macrophysaThe Elongated Sea Pearl is a Green Algae. Groups grow in tight clusters in shady areas like north side of walls, under overhangs and in recesses. deeper than 2 feet. They are very similar to Sea Pearls but are smaller, growth to less than 1 inch in diameter. Because of the similarities of the two species, these photos are representations of the species based on descriptions of the species not based on microscopic identification. .
