Sally Lightfoot Crab

Grapsus grapsus

Round Carapace with rows of white or bluish white speckles, no margin teeth on edge of carapace.. Base color is dark or chocolate/coffee brown. Leg joints maroon/rusty color. Two small claws. They inhabit the the spray zone of rocky shorelines and can move very quickly along the rocks. Some may be covered with a green fine algae.
