Sand Tilefish
Malacanthus plumieriElongated body, mostly shiny white, very small scales, accent colors vary from rainbow colors,yellowish to bluish gray and violet. One long dorsal fin from head to tail. Distinctive dark area on centeral upper section of cresent shaped tail, lipless mouth. They live in burrows at 15-70 foot depths. They will swim and stop, undulating their bodies, then swim again.
