Social Feather Duster Worms

Bispiria brunnea

These Social Feather Duster Worms grow in clusters. Look for them in water deeper than 8 feet where they grow on rock walls and reefs in areas of some water movement. The color varies from colony to colony, but all individuals in a colony are the same color. Since they reproduce asexually this is to be expected. Colors range from all white, to purple, tan, rust  or lavender with white tips. Sometimes the color is variegated.
