Princess Parrotfish
Scarus taeniopterusOne of the parrotfishes that are only seen occasionally. Can be confused with the Striped Parrotfish which doesn't have dark borders on the tail. The Princes Parrotfish have more defined lines going over the nose and yellow/orangey blotches on sides behind pectoral fin. The Stripped Parrotfish has a white blotch. Look for them in fore-reef areas in water deeper than 10 feet. Can grow to over a foot in length.
